There always are Philippine flights that can help take you to this world-famous beach paradise called Boracay. (...)

There always are Philippine flights that can help take you to this world-famous beach paradise called Boracay. Whether you are from continental US or Hawaii, Philippine Flights can either take you to Manila or the much “closer-to-Boracay” Cebu - Mactan International Airport. If you already are in the Philippines, domestic flights can fly you to Caticlan airport or Kalibo airport which are both in the province of Aklan, where Boracay is found.

The beach paradise called Boracay is voted by many reputable travel magazines and publications around the world as one of the best. In fact, the Sun Herald of Australia (which is incidentally also known for its beaches) and Harper’s voted Boracay as the world’s best beach. No wonder a lot of tourists take Philippine flights – they are captivated by the beauty of this tiny island in the Visayas. Think of it warm crystal blue waters, powdery fine white sand, world-class accommodations, great food, and an ever exciting nightlife.

Best time to be there

Ask anyone who have been there when to best time your trip to Boracay and one of the answers would be, “anytime.” There always is something for you in Boracay anytime of the year.

Tourist peak season, the time when a lot of Philippine domestic flights are agog with backpackers, surfers, scuba divers, nature lovers, and … lovers, is from December to April. You may also favour going there from May to June but these months could sometimes be very hot – and there always is the tendency for the rainy season (which is June) to arrive early. This can ruin any beach party or activity that you have in mind.

Going to Boracay from December to April is more favoured by those who love the nightlife this tiny island paradise offers – and there’s no lovelier party than one with more people. As they say, the more, the merrier.

Christmas and New Year’s eve are the most popular dates for visitors here. Nature lovers and the romantics prefer October and November for the island’s best sunsets during these months. Halloween is also a very popular date for tourists here. November is also a low season here so the romantic ones favour this time of the year to visit. Also, “low season” means cheaper rates.

January offers a big plus for the visitors: it is the month when the world-famous colourful Ati-atihan street dancing festival is held in nearby Kalibo. January is “party time” for most of the tourist destinations in the Visayas. It is a good time to book earlier if you plan on getting on one of those Philippine flights for the Visayas at this time of the month.

Early summer, the Lenten Season, or the months of march and April are also the exciting months for those who love beach activities. Local celebrities, movie and television personalities, international beach sporting organizations literally flock to Boracay for a summer in the sun.

If you are planning for a vacation in the country, call your local travel agent for the best deals in Philippine flights and for more information about this tiny tropical island paradise called Boracay.

Wouldn’t it be nice if, after a 12-hour trip across the Pacific on one of your Philippine flights, you’d still be your old alert and sunny you – not some grouchy grouch who excuses herself to everyone she meets at the airport or at the meeting for her grouchy-ness? It’s jet lag, you’d say.

While everyone would always understand how it feels being confined to the cabin of an airbus for more than 12 hours across the ocean, one couldn’t help but wish that jet lag would just go away. If you are schedule to fly on Philippine flights, here are some very simple ways of dealing with, if not preventing, jet lag:

1. Hydrate – drink lots of water. You may not actually feel it but the humidity on transatlantic flights could be as humid as the sand dunes of the Sahara. If you are dehydrated, your jet lag could be worse. While the cabin crew of Philippine flights would readily provide water to passengers who would ask for them, one could only wish they would serve them in large pitchers with lots of ice – not in those small paper cups that seem to have come from the cupboards of Froddo Baggins’ hobbit house in the Shire.

**Note: If You're still looking for the Best Competitive and Cheapest Domestic Airfare Deal or Philippine Domestic Flights, Call us up at 866-355-5393 or Fill in our Plane Fare Quote Request or Even For Any Flights Originating from the U.S. to Anywhere…Click HERE!

We recommend that you bring a large bottle of mineral water (subject to airport restrictions) to keep you hydrated.

2. Avoid alcohol – or completely stay away from a glass or a bottle hours before your flight, or during the flight. You know, alcohol has a dehydrating effect on your system. When you are dehydrated, your jet lag would be worse. While at it, it would also be a good idea if you avoid caffeine or other stimulants. Having a nap in one of these long Philippine flights would be a welcome respite without coffee.

3. Eat less – you don’t want to feel bloated several thousand miles above sea level. The cabin pressure would add to whatever discomfort you are going to have on a full stomach. You may want to nibble on some crackers (again… sparingly) and more water. But never eat out of boredom, you might get carried away and before you know it, you would have already eaten a full meal – and it’s not even dinnertime yet! If you are tempted to say, “what else is there to do on a twelve-hour flight?” – resist!

4. Circulate – we don’t mean go around from row to row and socialize – but it can be a good idea – what we mean is for you to move around every now and then so your muscles and joints won’t give you that unnecessary additional discomfort. Let your blood circulate.

5. Acclimatize – upon arrival, the urge to stay inside your hotel room and sleep seems to be the most natural way to rid yourself of the jet lag from your Philippine flights. Nothing can be farther from the truth. It would help you better if you stay outdoors, acclimatize yourself to the weather, and consciously reset your biological clock. It is easier to do this if you actually “see” the time of the day outdoors than staying indoors.

Your Philippine flights could be one of your most anticipated trips, it would help if you arrive at your destination in a good “fighting form.”

Philippine Flights: How to Stay Looking (and Feeling) Fabulous During Long Flights

Let’s face it, it is not unusual for anyone to start a vacation hassled and frazzle when it is supposed to be a trip intended to relax and unwind. (...)

Let’s face it, it is not unusual for anyone to start a vacation hassled and frazzle when it is supposed to be a trip intended to relax and unwind. If you are from the United States or Europe and you get on one of those Philippine flights to Manila or Cebu, chances are that long-haul flight leaves you cramped, dehydrated, and feeling like you’re having one of those worst bad-hair days.

Here are some simple tips to stay looking fabulous and feeling perked-up during (and even after) several hours of being airborne on one of your Philippine flights:

Stay hydrated

Dehydration is a cause of fatigue. The resulting combination of fatigue and dehydration could make you look like someone you’d never one to look like: haggard, tired-looking, and dry as a prune. It would help you best if you bring along your own bottled water as in-flight water serving wouldn’t be enough (imagine those small paper cups that are smaller than your tea-cup). The longer the flight is, the more water you would need to have. Don’t worry about frequent trips to the restroom – it actually forces you to stand up, do some stretching, and walk – another “must” in long-haul Philippine flights to wake up your joints and to stimulate blood circulation. Just note how you will comply with airport regulations on hand-carried liquids.

Note: avoid caffeinated beverages and alcohol. They tend to dehydrate you. They can also prevent you from taking that relaxing nap.

Moisturize

Use a spritzer with essential oils. Apply moisturizer or moisturizing lotion to your face, hands, elbows, arms, knees, etc. to give you the feeling of freshness while relieving parts of your body that are prone to dryness. Generously applying moisturizer could also give you the reason to gently massage your arms and legs to promote circulation.

Note: don’t forget about airport regulations about gels and liquids hand-carried past the check-in counter. Put them in a transparent zip-locked bag. Lotions or moisturizers in large bottles can be transferred to smaller bottles or sachets (just enough for the duration of your Philippine flights) so they will fit in your ziplock bag.

Move those muscles and joints

Notice our repeated reminder to walk (visit to the rest-room, massage, etc.) to keep your muscles and joints lose and limber. It would help you better if you can manage to get a seat with a larger legroom. Suffering from stressed muscles and cramps are simply some of the best ways to make you look, well… unfabulous.

Wear loose clothes could also help you relax better during the entire length of your Philippine flights.

During stop-overs, don’t take this as an opportunity to slouch on one of those airport lounge chairs, as if you’ve just been to a tiresome activity. You would want to walk around after that long bout of sitting in the cabin – not sit.

You know, feeling alive, alert, and fit could be all it talks to keep looking and feeling fabulous – whether you’re on one of those long Philippine flights, or even when you’re simply working in your 8-5 office routine.

You are looking forward to your next travel experience via one of those Philippine flights. (...)

You are looking forward to your next travel experience via one of those Philippine flights. It is going to be a long one — more than twelve hours, and that's the time spent on the plane alone! Having a stress-free flight takes more than finding the right airline and being at the airport early.

You see, it doesn't matter whether you are a seasoned traveler, or someone who have clocked a lot of Philippine flights time like a professional pilot, you would still feel (if not suffer) discomfort, jet-lag, and some other inconvenience if you miss one or more of the basic things you need to consider when flying long distances. Here are some tips that not only should make your travel a comfortable one:

Check airport and Philippine flights check-in policies

You see, tighter security measures in most international flights have changed a lot of policies on what you can hand-carry and what you can't into the airplane, e.g., liquids, etc. You wouldn't want to be inconvenienced by airport security because of the bottled tea you are carrying to the check-in counter. To prevent this, call and inquire about possible limitations on what you can carry. In some cases, while you can't bring certain beverages across the check-in counter, you can still buy from the shops beyond the check-in counter.

It is also important that you are at the check-in area at least an hour before deadline. Some airline companies of Philippine flights are very strict with this, that you may even loss the fare due to non-appearance, or you may have to pay more to re-book to another flight. Also check for limitations on hand-carried luggage that you can bring into the cabin.

Make sure you are comfortable

While for the sake of saving, you may not mind a little discomfort for an hour or two that it takes for a short domestic flight, you may need to spend more for your Philippine flights. Remember that you will be stuck with what you have paid for for more than ten hours (Philippine flights from San Francisco to Manila is more than 12 hours), and the longer it takes, the level of discomfort increases. Check for leg room, availability of entertainment, etc. It would be better if you check-in earlier so you can have a chance of asking for a seat with a larger leg room.

Get a better deal

There are days when airfare for the same destination is cheaper. You may want to check with your travel agent to find you the best deal. It may mean you have to schedule your flight earlier or later than you originally planned. Another way to save on airfare is: if you are traveling to a small city, you may book your flight to the nearest main hub. You can then catch another mode of transportation, perhaps a domestic flight, or you may go by bus to your final destination.

Another good way of getting a better deal on your Philippine flights is to package your airfare with hotel accommodations. While you are looking for cheap airfares, always place the discomfort that you may experience as a result. Traveling on international flights like Philippine flights from continental USA to the Philippines could be had for a low price without you having to endure discomfort at long lengths of time.
